The most important part of your move is to choose a good moving company.
Q: How to choose good moving company?
A: 1. You can check with Better Business Bureau at http://www.bbb.org/ for complains on moving
companies.
2. You can check with FMCSA at
http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/about/outreach/consumers/rights.htm for your rights and
responsibilities.
3. Check the licenses of the moving companies.
4. Check the small words in the moving estimates that the moving companies send to you.
5. Do not count just on promises by the phone. Ask from the sells person of the moving company
to add your special requests to the estimate.
6. Check the insurance that the moving companies offer you.
7. I recommend not to take the lowest estimate that you get from one of the moving companies automatically, because the lowest offer can be at the end of your move the expensive one. Take an average offer.
